This year the Florida International Air Show Features:
The Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army’s Golden Knights

The Florida International Air Show, is made possible only through the generous support of our volunteers and our sponsors. Our sponsors seek and receive modest recognition, however, they are the superstars of our successful event. . . year after year, after year. Through their selfless aid, the show has been able to return net proceeds of over $1,800,000 to more than 56 charities in and around the Southwest Florida region.

Air Force Thunderbirds return to Florida International Air Show

The Thunderbirds, the precision flying team of the United States Air Force will appear at the Florida show for the fifth time. The Thunderbirds will begin their fifty-first year of performing above enthusiastic crowds at the Florida show.

The team will again fly the Lockheed Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon. The aircraft can reach speeds above 1,300 mph and an altitude of 50,000 feet. It is considered a multi-role fighter; the F-16C has an unequaled record in actual air-to-air combat.

The U.S. Army’s Golden Knights also return to Florida International Air Show

Cutting away a parachute on purpose. Passing off a baton at 120 mph. Flying the American flag at 12,000 feet. For more than 40 years, the Golden Knights have been holding audiences in the palm of their hand all over the world with their feats of aerial acrobatics, while promoting the Army at its highest level. With more than 400 national championships, 60+ world championships and numerous team championships, when the Golden Knights show up to a competition, everyone else is battling for second place.

     The U.S. Army’s Golden Knights.

See them up close from 12,000 feet away.
