THE 2005 FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL AIR SHOW IS A GO

The Florida International Air Show will “take off” on schedule next March. The 2005 show will be the 25th anniversary and will feature the past ---present ---and future of aviation. It will also be a salute to the Charlotte County community which is surviving a devastating hurricane. Led by Chairman Fred Buckingham and President Bucky McQueen, the board reached a unanimous decision this week to go ahead with the show. Don Lee, Chairman of the Charlotte County Airport Authority, says that even though the airport suffered major damage, it will be ready for the event. The show will be held on March 19th and 20th of 2005.
The air show board is already in negotiations with some great acts for the 2005 Air Show extravaganza. Some of the top performers in the business have already committed to attend. Those acts will be announced in the coming weeks; plus, there will be some surprises over the next few months.
The board felt that even though the area is recovering from a very difficult time, the community always supports this air show and the local charities it benefits. For that reason, the Charlotte Harbor area deserves our commitment to put on a top notch air show.
